I’m looking forward to the new school year, learning new music, and starting new musical adventures with my piano students. The 2020 – 2021 calendar and new studio policies are available. Keep an eye on the calendar! Each day more musical groups are releasing new virtual concert dates, and some of them look amazing.
In a few days I will be mailing a “New Year Packet” to each student. These will have stickers, coloring pages, practice charts, and musical games. Make sure to keep the packets close to the piano! As always, if you’d prefer to log your practice time on My Music Staff, that’s fine! You’ll still earn prizes for 20 practices each month, and a gift card after 100 practices.
The classes on October 24, 2020 will be held on Zoom, and will be focused on Music Theory, Ear Training, Performance Practice, and “Mars” from Gustav Holst’s The Planets. Because this class will be virtual, participation is capped at six students at each of the three sessions. If you’d like to get a head start, listen to “Mars” now!
I also want to say a heartfelt thank you for all your patience these past months as we have all worked through technical issues. Even though the 2020 – 2021 school term will be different than any we’ve ever experienced, we will have new opportunities for connection, learning, and growth.
